It is with great joy that the Patrons, The Society for the Maintenance of the Faith, announce the appointment of The Reverend Jason Rendell as Vicar of the parish of St Augustine, Kilburn. The appointment was made in consultation with the Parish Representatives, the Bishop of Fulham, and the Archdeacon of London, after an interview in which they had all participated.
Fr Jason is currently the Vicar of St Andrew’s Kingsbury, where he has been the parish priest for eleven years. He brings with him a wide variety of skills and experience. At St Andrew’s Kingsbury he has responsibility for the care and restoration of the Grade II* listed building. He previously served as a bishop’s chaplain and was for six years a Minor Canon at St Paul’s Cathedral, responsible for worship and music there.
Commenting on this appointment, the Bishop of Fulham said: ‘I am delighted that Fr Jason Rendell is to be the next Vicar of St Augustine’s, Kilburn. He brings considerable experience as an Incumbent, and has very successfully led the parish and congregation at St Andrew, Kingsbury over the last decade. Above all, he is a dedicated priest and pastor with a love for souls whose life is deeply formed in the Gospel. I have every confidence that St Augustine’s will flourish with Fr Jason as its new Parish Priest.’
This appointment is subject to the usual legal check and formalities. Fr Jason will be instituted by the Bishop of Fulham on Friday 21 November. We assure Fr Jason and the people of St Augustine’s and St Andrew’s of our prayers.
