Advice about Vacancies
The Forward in Faith booklet Vacancies in Society Parishes: Advice from Forward in Faith (2018) explains the process for appointing a new incumbent or priest in charge, offers advice to parishes that are vacant, and draws attention to things that need to be done before a vacancy arises. Some of the information and advice is specific to parishes in which a resolution under the House of Bishops’ Declaration on the Ministry of Bishops is in force, but much of it is equally relevant to all parishes.
